Just 3 years after its debut A. Lange & Söhne presents its Odysseus sports watch declined in “Ice Blue” and titanium dial. This new configuration is the latest in chronological order, after those in steel and white gold.

The “Ice blue” dial is presented on several levels and different surfaces. The applied indexes in white gold, like the small seconds scale, are surrounded by concentric lines, the so-called bluing. his effect creates a contrast with the internal, opaque, irregularly structured surfaces of the main and secondary dials. The dial offers unique plays of color and it is difficult to categorize it in blue, as the prevailing color. Perhaps also because of the titanium the case is made of.

The dial is framed by an oblique silver-colored flange with printed minute track. The number 60 printed in red at 12 o'clock gives a subtle hint of color. The hour and minute hands with the traditional Lange spear shape stand out more prominently on the ODYSSEUS than other watches from the Manufacture and, like the internal surfaces of the applied indexes, are luminescent. 

The balance wheel (pictured left) guarantees absolute precision by oscillating at 28.800 semi-oscillations per hour (4 hertz) under the balance bridge decorated with an engraved wave pattern hand.

The case measures 40,5 millimeters in diameter and about 11,1 millimeters in height, it has a central section slightly protruding at the sides and is divided into three parts, alternating with satin finishes and rounded edges, which extend up to the handles. The integrated cuff reinterprets the traditional elements of the brand and can be adjusted up to 7mm by the deployant safety clasp pressing the button with the word Lange, in addition to the traditional method of removing or adding links.

The sporty-elegant character of the watch is complemented by the robust, perfectly handcrafted automatic caliber L155.1, developed exclusively for this model range and launched in 2019.

Perhaps the latter is the most successful version in terms of aesthetics and comfort. If the color palette is due to personal taste, comfort is a tangible fact, thanks to the titanium which makes this Odysseus 43% lighter than the stainless steel Odysseus.
