Patek Philippe unveils the new Travel Time Annual Calendar Ref. 5326G-001, a watch that for the first time combines two complications such as the Annual Calendar and the Travel Time function thanks to a new self-winding caliber that boasts eight patents.

To house this unprecedented movement, Patek Philippe has created a new Calatrava case in white gold of 41 mm in diameter with a splendid workmanship guilloché Clous de Paris along the carrure. The black gradient anthracite gray dial on the edge highlights a texture slightly grainy reminiscent of the shells of old cameras.

The refined mechanics of the new caliber 31-260 are also simple and usable in the use of its complications 5326G-001. The technical originality of this Annual Calendar consists in always indicating the exact date for the local time. To create this unprecedented feature, the engineers have designed a new self-winding movement in which the Travel Time mechanism controls the Annual Calendar allowing for forward and backward date correction with the aid of the crown alone.

Combining the Annual Calendar and the Travel Time function has led manufacturers to take up various technical challenges. The purpose, in fact, was not only to make the two mechanisms "coexist" within a box. It was a question of making them interact so that the indicated date was indexed to the local time, ie that of the place where the user is. In the new caliber 31-260 PS QA LU FUS 24H, it is therefore the Travel Time function that controls that of the Annual Calendar and it is the local time wheel that has as its mission to guide the calendar.

For those who appreciate the exclusive design of the new Ref.5326G-001, Patek Philippe also offers another watch from the Calatrava collection, which incorporates the same aesthetic codes but with a slightly smaller diameter (40 mm) and without additional functions.

This new reference is accompanied by two interchangeable straps, one in beige calfskin with nubuck finish, the other in black calfskin with embossed textile motif and beige stitching. The list price is approximately 65 euros.
