For Watch & Wonders 2022 Piaget presents the exclusive Altiplano Ultimate Concept (AUC) in homage to the first tolls of a revolutionary timepiece for the world of watchmaking.

The Altiplano Ultimate Concept (AUC) is the result of a dream that has become real, concrete and tangible. Piaget's philosophy has always been to always push boundaries and “do what has never been done before”. Piaget's engineers, watchmakers and designers continued to search for solutions to make the dream come true and after four years of research and development, on February 7, 2017 at 7:47 am.

The new unique AUC piece is a celebration of the AUC adventure with several stylistic details reminiscent of this incredible journey. This one-of-a-kind model features a 41mm high-tech cobalt-based alloy case, a bold choice of material yet perfectly in tune with the sandblasted dark slate blue PVD plate.

Case back, bezel and lugs are satin-finished, and create a pleasant contrast with the polished middle case. The timepiece is accompanied by an extremely thin dark blue alligator strap, which does not exceed 1,5 mm in thickness, in keeping with the model's ultra-flat design. Equipped with a power reserve of 40 hours, it is an extraordinary synthesis of watchmaking elements of the highest level.

After five years, Piaget wants to remember the dawn of the watchmaking revolution through engravings where the two large discs placed between the indexes of the small parts indicate the time - 7:47 - when the AUC first came to life. At 2:30, the AUC's date of birth - February 7, 2017 - appears in a window. The words “La Côte-aux-Fées” and the GPS coordinates of the manufacture are engraved on the toothed wheel.
