Rolex presents the new Rolex Air-King 126900, making a reference strictly connected to the world of aviation even more sporty and professional, with new updates in terms of design and technique.

Considered by many to be Rolex's entry-level model, the Oyster Perpetual AirKing has always had a close relationship with the world of aviation since its golden age of the 30s. Many RAF pilots wore the Rolex Oyster Bubbleback because of their reliability and size. For this reason, Rolex began producing new families of wristwatches called Air-Lion, Air-King, Air-Tiger and Air-Giant. The evolution began with the introduction of the reference 14000 to arrive with the latest, more daring, Oyster Perpetual Air King 116900 with 40mm case. The first of the Air-King family to be officially COSC certified.

In 2022 Rolex returns with the new generation Oyster Perpetual Air-King. The watch features a completely redesigned case with crown protection and straight sides like most models in the Professional category. The proportions of the bracelet have also been revisited and in particular the central link has been enlarged. In a first for the model, it features an Oysterlock safety clasp. The clock display has also been updated and is perfectly balanced thanks to the addition of a 0 before 5 on the minute scale. Each five-minute interval is therefore now marked with two digits.

In addition, the new generation Air-King benefits from an optimized Chromalight display, which ensures maximum readability in dark conditions. The hands and triangular hour marker at 12 o'clock are filled or coated with a new luminescent material that provides a longer lasting intense glow. The numbers 3, 6 and 9, which were previously made entirely of 18 ct white gold, are now visible even in the dark thanks to this innovative material, exclusive to Rolex.

The new generation Air-King is equipped with caliber 3230, a movement which, thanks to the Chronergy escapement, is able to maintain a running precision of -2 / + 2 seconds per day. Like all Rolex watches, the Oyster Perpetual Air-King is Superlative Chronometer certified. The list price is 7 euros.
