The green wave continues to infect the world of watchmaking. On the occasion of Watches & Wonder 2021 Patek Philppe unveils his iconic Nautilus 5711 / 1A-014 in steel, with a brand new olive green dial.

Born at the hands of the genius of Gerlad Genta and introduced by Patek Philippe in 1976, with the reference 3700, the Nautilus has carved out an important place in the Olympus of watchmaking over the years thanks to the combination of elegance and sporty robustness. It was not for nothing that it was advertised by Patek Philippe itself as “One of the most expensive watches in the world made of steel”, a status symbol that already appeared at the time in important dimensions, with a case of 40mm.

Introduced in 2006, the reference 5711 thus represented the return of the Nautilus "Jumbo", characterized by a design extremely similar to the original model with only minor technical upgrades such as the Caliber 315 SC and the introduction of the house in three parts with separate caseback equipped sapphire crystal. The fact that it is now a virtually impossible to obtain timepiece, with waiting lists at retailers stretching over the years, indicates how timeless and universally praised this design is.

Patek Philippe after announcing the production exit of the 5711 / 1A with blue dial, presents the 5711 / 1A model declined with a brand new olive green dial, a new color in the Nautilus collection. The unmistakable design of the case, bezel and bracelet is embellished with a subtle alternation of hand-made satin and polished finishes. At the heart of this 120m waterproof model beats the self-winding caliber 26-330 SC, visible through a transparent sapphire crystal back.

The 5711 / 1300A was also presented alongside the more classic reference, where the characteristic shape of the octagonal bezel with rounded corners is embellished with a row of 32 Top Wesselton Pur baguette-cut diamonds (~ 3,6 ct). The sparkle of diamonds illuminates the new olive green dial embellished with an engraved horizontal relief and a soleil motif.

The new Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711 / 1A-014 Green Dial will have a price of 30'860 euros, while the 5711 / 1300A will have a price of 83'680 euros. These are not limited editions, but we can imagine that each watch will be limited to a few lucky customers.
