Before SIHH 2019, A. Lange & Söhne has announced a new limited edition to celebrate the 25th anniversary of what is certainly its most emblematic watch, the Lange 1, born in 1994 and part of the inaugural collection of the Maison's rebirth.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of this wonderful timepiece, every month A. Lange & Söhne will present a new one "Lange 1 Anniversary". Not a single watch, therefore, but 10 models will be introduced during the year. A few hours ago, we reminded you of how just last year, A. Lange & Söhne, had presented a limited version of the Lange 1 Daymatic, and after a few hours from the inauguration of the brand's new boutique in London, we are here to talk to me about this new watch: the Grande Lange 1 Moon Phase "25th Anniversary", a limited series of 25 pieces made of white gold with the usual diameter of 41 mm and height of 9,4 mm.

The watch places for the first time the disc of the moon, also in white gold and hand-engraved (six stars and numerous small dots have been engraved by hand to create a starry sky and, together with the inlaid golden moon, form a three-dimensional and unique night scene), in a predominant position on the silver dial covered with blue printed numerals. In perfect combination with the alligator leather strap, always blue and gray stitching. Of all A. Lange & Söhne's moon phase models, the Grande Lange 1 Moon Phase is the one that offers the most space for astronomical complication. Apart from that, it seems that most of the watches in this "jubilee" collection remain mechanically the same as the existing models.

To ensure design consistency, the Grande Data Lange has been proportionally enlarged by 4%. When it comes to movement, A. Lange & Söhne still relies on its hand-wound caliber L095.3 (72 hours of power reserve and an internal 3Hz escapement). The movement is made and finished according to the most demanding Lange quality standards: decorated and assembled by hand, fine-tuned in five positions, the three-quarter plate with belt smoothing of Glassworks in natural nickel silver, silver plates and hand-engraved balance bridge with a special engraving: the number “25” in the typical Grande Data Lange window, surrounded by a floral motif. Finally, all the engraved recesses are covered in blue and thus take on a particular relief. Price 45.800 EURO.
