Bovet Recital 22 Grand Recital: A truly “celestial” perpetual calendar tourbillon that won the prestigious “Aiguille d'Or” at the last “oscars” of haute horlogerie.

Il Récital 22 Grand Récital tourbillon constitutes the third chapter of the poetic watchmaking narrative begun by Pascal Raffy (owner of the brand since 2001) and by the artisans of the Maison two years ago. Now, after a lot of work behind it, the Haute Horlogerie brand of Fleurier invites us to observe the three celestial bodies that set the rhythm of our lives: the sun, the earth and the moon.

Il Sun is represented by a flying tourbillon whose bridge of the cage symbolizes its shining rays.
La Terra it is represented by a hemisphere and its surface is adorned with an engraved and hand painted map, on which the oceans, mountains, deserts and forests are meticulously executed. It rotates on its own axis and displays the hours on a natural 24-hour cycle. Finally, one Luna spherical orbit around the earth according to the exact length of its synodic period, or 29,53 days.

The retrograde minutes and the power reserve appear on hemispherical sectors that have the same curvature of the globe. The spectacular scenery is amplified by sapphire glasses that cover each hemisphere and which have the task of making the underlying mechanisms seem raised, which almost seem to come out of the case.

The Bovet Récital 22 Grand Récital is also equipped with a perpetual calendar. All indications are marked on the caseback. This is a very innovative interpretation of the brand since the date, subject to a patent request, appears on a double-sided disc. Looking at the timepiece through the enormous sapphire crystal that makes up the caseback, you immediately find yourself in front of a large Côtes de Genève circular, centered on the tourbillon axis. Various windows open to indicate the hours, day of the week, month and leap year, while the bridge drives the glass disc of the date that also appears on the front.

The complicated Caliber composed of 472 elements offers a double-sided flying tourbillon also patented by the Maison, working at a frequency of 18.000 vibrations / hour. Enclosed in an "important" case of 46.30 mm in diameter and 19.60 mm thick (the latter caused by the protruding sapphire crystal of the globe).
Passion, competence, independence, but also research and innovation, are fundamental words to understand the philosophy of the Maison Bovet 1822.
This Grand Recital it will be made by Bovet in no more than 60 copies, which is the number of movements that will be built. The cases will be produced of the precious metal chosen by the customer, and it can be in 18 K red gold or in platinum, respectively available at CHF 435.000 and 465.000 CHF.
